Abdul Aleem Khan an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and politician. He was born in Lahore, Pakistan, on October 5, 1972. After completing his early education at Crescent Model School, Lahore, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Government College University Lahore.

Abdul Aleem Khan made his political debut in 2002 when he was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab from Constituency PP-147. He was inducted into the Provincial Punjab cabinet and appointed as the Provincial Minister for Information Technology. He remained in this position until 2007.

In February 2013, he was elected as the President of PTI Lahore. In July 2016, he became the president of the party’s Central Punjab. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab from Constituency (Lahore-XV) in the 2018 general elections.

On August 27, 2018, he was inducted into the Provincial Punjab cabinet and appointed as the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Local Government and Community Development. He was given the status of a senior minister in the cabinet.

Abdul Aleem Khan holds the esteemed position of President of Istehkam-e-Pakistan, a political party that emerged in 2023. He is currently serving as a member of the National Assembly after being elected from Constituency NA 117, Lahore. Under the present government which was formed as a result of the general elections held in February 2024, he has been entrusted with the portfolio of the Federal Minister for Privatization with the additional charge of the Board of Investment.

Philanthropy:

Abdul Aleem Khan, as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, has always believed in giving back to the community. Therefore, he established the Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation, which is currently working in various sectors including Education, Health, and Community Development. The foundation is currently running hundreds of water filtration plants, free dispensaries, and orphanages for girls under the name ‘Apna Ghar,’ Rising Sun Institute for special children, and Begum Naseem Khan Memorial Girls High School, providing free education for underprivileged girls.

The Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation continuously makes financial contributions to the Health and Education sector by donating to various institutions. The foundation has also made contributions to various jails across Punjab, Pakistan, for the rehabilitation and welfare of prisoners. Additionally, the foundation has taken up the responsibility to help pay the fines of prisoners who have completed their sentences but cannot afford to pay, to secure their release and give them another chance at a better life.
